KANSANGA – Kampala International University (KIU) will on Thursday, August 13, 2020, hold an online induction ceremony of the new KIU chancellor, Professor Mahmood Mamdani at 4:00 – 5:00 pm East African Time via zoom.
The inauguration comes after the announciation of Prof. Mahmood Mamdani, a leading Ugandan academic, author, and political commentator as the new KIU chancellor in July, 2020.
Prof. Mamdani who is also the director of the Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR) replaced Prof. JMP Sebuwufu who successfully completed his term of office.
During the virtual ceremony, the new chancellor will be introduced and officially inducted into office as the outgoing chancellor officially hands over.
As a world class professional and talented academician, Prof. Mamdani is an outstanding asset for the university as it explores the heights.
Therefore, the KIU Chairman Board of Trustees invites everyone to the inauguration ceremony of the new KIU chancellor, Prof. Mahmood Mamdani.
