KAMPALA – The Kampala Taxi Operators Association (KTOA) has released new adjusted taxis fares for Kampala metropolitan and surrounding areas.
President Museveni in his address on Monday allowed public transport to operate but will carry half of normal capacity including the driver and the conductor with effect from June 4, 2020.
He noted that drivers and passengers must wear face masks. Adding that, “Public and private transport is still banned in the border districts.”
According to KTOA, the fares can be revised upwards given the prevailing circumstances due to half capacity carriage policy issued by government.
