Strange as woman found dead in restaurant

MUKONO – A woman identified as Mbambu Kisiku 22, a resident of Total village in Mukono has Saturday, May 9, been found dead in a resturant in Industrial area in Mukono Municipality.

Kisiku who hails from Ntoloko district was a restaurant attendant.

It’s alleged that the deceased had just gotten her job as a waitress two months ago by

Nassanga said that she had gone to open the restaurant to work and found Kisiku her employ dead.

Hellen Nalowoza, a neighbor to the restaurant speculated that Kisiku might have died due to suffocation from smoke.

PML Daily visited the scene and found that sourcepan of beans was left boiling over night on a charcoal stove. The restaurant has very tiny ventilators.

Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said “The scene was visited by the Homicide team and the soco, a case file of the sudden death vide Mukono SD 11/09/05/2020 has been opened.”

Owoyesigyire added “It has been established that the deceased had left on the charcoal stove with beans boiling locked the house and she went to sleep only to be discovered dead in the morning.”

“The body has been examined and no physical injuries observed. The body has been taken to the city mortuary for postmortem. Inquiries will continue,” he added
