KAMPALA – Makerere University management has once again extended the deadlines for application for admission to June 12, 2020.

The university on April 17 (which was the initial deadline) extended the deadline for 30 days until May 17 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Now in a social media post, the university management has said the deadline extension applies to both undergraduate and graduate programmes.

“We encourage prospective students to use the extension period to apply and/or complete any pending application process such as payment for application,” reads an excerpt.

In his address on May 18, President Museveni said the undergraduate finalists, Postgraduate finalists, finalists in the Tertiary institutions, candidates at P.7, S.4 and S6 levels would start school in two weeks.

He also directed Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Health to work out modalities to this effect.

“When it comes to students who will have to come back from border districts to join their fellow finalists in school, MoE and Govt needs to work out special plans for them.
