COVID-19 CRISIS: Security forces receive medical equipment in fight against Covid-19

Kyoga Dynamics Ltd, the Joint Venture Company between Luwero Industries and China Wan Bao Engineering Corporat ion for production of explosives has made a contribution of medical equipment to the security forces in support of its efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The protective gear donated to the UPDF contingent in Somalia include among others 10,000 pcs of Disposable Medical Face Masks, 500 pcs of KN95 Masks,100 pcs of Medical Protective suits,100 pcs of Medical Goggles and 20 pcs of Infra Red thermometers.

While receiving the donation, Rt Hon Dr Ruhakana Rugunda the Prime Minister appreciated the National Enterprises Corporation (NEC) for the great support at this moment when security forces are playing a very vital role to ensure safety of the people.

 

The Managing Director NEC Lt Gen James Mugira reiterated the commitment of NEC to provide support and also continue production as the world continues the war against the virus.

Present at the ceremony were the 1st Deputy Prime Minister Rt Hon Gen Moses Ali, Hon Gen Elly Tumwiine the Minister for Security, Hon Christopher Kibanzanga the Minister of State for Defence in charge of Veterans Affairs, Hon Mary Karoro Okurut the Minister for General Duties, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence & Veterans Affairs Mrs Rossette Byengoma and the Deputy Chief of Defence Forces Lt Gen Wilson Mbadi, and IGP representative AIGP Asan Kasingye among others.
