SOROTI- North Kyoga Police PRO ASP David Ongom has revealed that one Bosco Ochan was rescued from the mob as he and his accomplice Julius Ariebet tried to break into a house.

According to a statement dated April 17,2020, Mr Ongom notes that ASP Charles Lubale received a phone call from Mr Agi Peter that there were some bulgars who were suspected to be in possession of stolen items.

“He[Ochan] was rushed and admitted at Soroti Regional Referral hospital emergency ward for treatment. His accomplice, Ariebet Julius was arrested and currently being detained at Kengere Police Station,” reads an excerpt.

Mr Ongom said the police later proceeded to generate a search certificate and the residence of the suspects were searched.

“The following items were recovered;house breaking implements (Hammer, Alien and master keys, pliers),solar panel, accumulators, home theater hoofers, power inverter, mattress, and city Bicycle,” he said in a statement.

He added that by the time of compiling the report, the owners for some of these items had not yet been identified.

“We, therefore, urge members of the public with relevant documents of ownership of some of the listed items to go to Kengere Police station,” said Ongom.

He urged the members of the public to observe target hardening to where they keep their valuables to avoid easy access by wrong elements.

“We do appreciate the secretary defence for the vigilance and do encourage every body to emulate the same by promoting good neighbourhood watch,” reads the statement in part.
