KAMPALA – The Makerere University central management has on Monday, April 6, 2020, held it’s first online meeting in continuation with University work and observing social distancing.

According to a statement on the university’s social media pages, the meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe.

“Prof Barnabas Nawangwe made several recommendations for policy and restructuring of the academic year that was disrupted by the closure due to the Coronavirus pandemic,” reads an excerpt.

The statement further reads that management has noted the exemplary work being done by the researchers at the College of Health Sciences particularly the EpiTent, the ventilator project undertaken jointly with Kiira Motors and the University of Florida.
