ENTEBBE — The Ministry of Heath has said that four foreign nationals that had been isolated over coronavirus related symptoms at Entebbe Airport have tasted for disease.

“All four foreign nationals currently under isolation have tested negative for COVID19,” Health Ministry Senior Public Relations Officer Emmanuel Ainebyoona said.

Ainebyoona said the will be self isolated for 14 days and monitored daily by Ministry of Heath surveillance officers.

“We appeal to the general public to practice COVID19 preventive measures at all times as advised by the Ministry of Health.”

The Ministry of Health
on Monday isolated four foreign nationals at Entebbe Referral Hospital
with flu and cough symptoms.

The four were picked up from Entebbe International Airport by ministry surveillance teams after presenting with flu and cough symptoms.

President Museveni on Sunday March 1, asked religious leaders to temporarily suspend shaking of hands during services as a precaution to the deadly coronavirus disease.

“I am appealing to every one of you, let us prevent this disease even at a personal level by precautionary behavior. Let us not shake hands unnecessarily. ”

He said this is a challenge that faces both government and religious leaders.
