KAMPALA – The Senior Presidential Adviser for special operations, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has said God will deliver the world from coronavirus.

Muhoozi who is also the first son, made his confidence in God known on twitter saying, just as God has deliver us from past crises, the COVID-19 disease will also pass courtesy of the creator’s mercy.

“As our nation prepares to confront the very lethal novel coronavirus pandemic (probably the most serious flu pandemic since the 1918 influenza pandemic that killed millions of people) let us be guided by science. Presently, they are no cures or vaccines for this deadly disease prevention is the best remedy,” Muhoozi tweeted.

He added, “The Government’s edicts as proclaimed by H.E. the President and @MinofHealthUG  are authoritative and should be followed. Everyone of us is our brothers or sisters keeper. However, we are also a God fearing nation and I am convinced that.”

“Almighty God shall deliver us from this present crisis as He delivered us from so many crises in the past! Almighty God continue to bless Uganda!” he said.

President Museveni has ordered for the closure of schools and suspended religious gatherings across the country in attempt to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Although there has not been any confirmed case of coronavirus as of today (March 18), Mr Museveni said all primary and secondary schools, university and other institutions of learning would be closed starting Friday, March 20, 2020 for one month.
