KAMPALA — Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi has on Tuesday, March 10 received the recently elected Speaker of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Abubakar Kawalya to the People Power office in Kamwokya – Kampala.

Mr. Kawalya was escorted by other leaders from different parts of Kampala, including Mayors and Councillors at different levels.

Bobi Wine, also known as Bobi Wine appreciated him for being a solid comrade in the People Power Movement and congratulated him upon winning the tight race for the position of Speaker of KCCA.

He appreciated Kawalya for not running a very divisive campaign as normally happens.

“I encouraged him to work with all other leaders including those he contested with, for the benefit of the people of Kampala and the people of Uganda,” Bobi Wine told journalist after the closed meeting.

Bobi Wine reminded leaders who visited him for the ceremony not to lose sight of the bigger struggle which we are involved in.

“We must not lose sight of the bigger goal and that calls us to unite with all well meaning Ugandans in this struggle, regardless of their political party, ethnicity or religion” he said implored the leaders to ensure that they keep in touch with the people and endeavour to serve them, because without the people, “we as leaders are nothing!”
