The Tanzania government on Monday, February 24 ordered Mr. Kabendera to pay a fine of TZ Shs 100 million for alleged money laundering and another TZ Shs 250,000 for tax evasion (approx. USD 45,000) after a plea bargain that reports indicate was politically negotiated.
