Kisaasi gas explosion: Police speaks out

KAMPALA — Police’ fire department has responded to multiple explosions on Saturday evening in the Kikulu zone in Kisaasi, Kampala.

Kampala Metropolitan Spokesperson Luke Owesigire in a statement said property has been destroyed but “no death of persons confirmed sofar.”

He said the police’s firefighter is at the scene to put out the fire.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the house was having a lot of gas cylinders and each was going off one at a time making multiple blasts.

” Our officers are currently at the scene fighting the fire with the hope of extinguishing it soon,’ he said adding that “you shall be updated accordingly on the situation.”
