PHOTOS: Several injured as bus overturns in Rukungiri

RUKUNGIRI – Several people have been injured in an early morning bus accident in Rukungiri municipality.

The bus registration number UAZ 321W belonging to Highway Coaches Ltd was heading to Kampala from Bwindi in Kanungu when it failed to ascend the Kinyasano road slope to Rukungiri town at around 0910hrs of Thursday, January 2 morning.

Initial reports indicate no death, however, the causalities have been rushed to Kalori Lwanga Hospital in Eastern Division for medical attention.

The accident comes just days after the Star Link Bus from Kanungu overturned in Mpingi district.
