FULL LIST: Byabashaija shakes up Prison Service in new reshuffle

KAMPALA — Over 30 prison warders and wardresses have been affected in a shake-up by Uganda Prison Service Commissioner General of Prisons, Dr Johnson Byabashaija.

According to the January 30 service orders, Dr Byabashaija, has since transferred some of the officers, appointed some and sent others on leave.

According to the statement, Ms. Mary Tamale, SP, Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Kauga, is appointed Ag. Regional Prisons Commander, East Central Region —taking over from Mr. Henry Natwaluma, SSP, who proceeds on accumulated leave.

Ms. Annah Kyatuhaire, SP, on Course, is appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Kauga.

Mr. Denis Asiimwe, ASP, U.G. Prison Farm Lugore is appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Farm Kiburara. He takes over from Mr. Festo Sambya, SSP, who proceeds on accumulated leave.

Mr. Henry Ochwo, ASP, U.G. Prison Kalisizo is transferred to U.G. Prison Kasaali in Kyotera District as Officer in Charge —taking over from No.10494 Ch/Wdss II Molly Nandagi, who proceeds on accumulated leave.

In other transfers, Mr. Robert Kibikwamu Mbusa, ASP, U.G. Prison Mbarara is appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Kalisizo.

Ms. Harriet Ayerango, ASP, U.G. Prison Farm Bugungu YP is appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Buikwe. She takes over from Ms. Norah Mwenze, ASP, who proceeds on accumulated leave pending retirement.

Mr. Robert Okanya, ASP, U.G. Prison Farm Kiburara is appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Kibiito. He takes over from Mr. Thomas Tibanyendera, P.O.I, who proceeds on accumulated leave.

Dr. Byabashaija has also lifted the suspension of Mr. Nehemiah Jurua Adriko and appointed him Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Kassanda. He takes over from Ms. Cissy Namusisi, ASP, who proceeds on accumulated leave.

Mr. Ivan Nuwamanya, who has been on leave has been appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Nawanyago replacing Mr. Joseph Nangayi, who proceeds on accumulated leave.

Mr. Richard Ekoch, Security Registry at Prisons Headquarters is appointed Officer in Charge, General Office at Prisons Headquarters —replacing Mr. Francis Ocaya, P.O.II, who proceeds on leave.

Ms. Lillian Asello, U.G. Prison Kasangati is appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Wabusaana. She takes over from No.10689 Ch/Wdr II Samuel Masembe, who is appointed Ag. P.O.II.

He is transferred to U.G. Prison Galilaya as Officer in Charge. He takes over from Mr. Fred Otim, who proceeds on accumulated leave.

Mr. Amos Tumuhimbise, P.O.II, U.G. Prison Farm Mubuku, is appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Bwera. He takes over from Mr. Robert Isingoma, who also proceeds on accumulated leave while Ms. Zakia Munobwa, P.O.II, U.G. Prison Ndorwa is appointed Officer in Charge, U.G. Prison Rubanda. She takes over from Mr. Peter Nsabimana, P.O.I, who proceeds on accumulated leave.

Dr. Byabashaija has directed Director Administration to immediately facilitate movement of officers without delay.

He has also ordered that moved officer to the their leave outside the Stations.
