NGORA – Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party President Hon. Patrick Oboi Amuriat together with the party leadership in Ngora District have attended the burial of Papa Okiror Sam Aswei at Morukakise ‘A’ Village, Mukura town council, Ngora District.

According to FDC the late Okiror was a great pillar during Reform Agenda (RA) days that later metamorphosed into FDC and was part of all processes that facilitated the formation of the Party.

“The late Sam was also a fighter in the Uganda People’s Army (U.P.A), a rebel group that was led by the late Peter Otai to resist NRA and Mr Museveni from taking power in this country,” reads an excerpt from the party social media page.

He also served the people of Ngora Diligently as speaker of Mukura and over saw it grow into a town.
