KAMPALA – The minister for Education and Sports, Janet Museveni justified ministry decision to release the 2019 Primary Leaving Examinations results from Kampala Parents School.
While appearing before a parliamentary committee on Education where she presented a ministerial statement, Mrs. Museveni said the venue was offered to them free of charge.
Mrs. Museveni said the Conference Hall at the Office of the President where they have traditionally released exams had issues with the air condition system and “we couldn’t put people there.”
“Kampala Parents is a primary school. We are not paying anything to release results there. We normally use the president’s office hall…but it has problems with its air conditioning. It has not been working. So we were looking for other places where we could go and not pay. We settled on Kampala Parents. So, I don’t know what the difference is because we are not paying.”
Mrs. Museveni is expected to release the 2019 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results on Friday, January 17 from Kampala Parents’ School Main Hall at 11 am.
Over 600,000 pupils sat for the 2019 Primary Leaving examinations.
This will be the first batch of the 2019 national exams to be released by the Uganda National exams Board (UNEB).
