Police cautions its officers on Force’s image

RUBANDA —The police rectification team on Tuesday December 17 urged officers to observe the force’s image.

The team is headed by ACP Simon Peter Wafana the head of Manpower Audit and Verification, SSP Kwerit Christopher, the Force’s head of Political Education, SSP Salube Julius from the Directorate of Welfare and Production, Exodus Sacco officers and Crime Intelligence.

While addressing officers at a rectification campaign team camp in Kigezi, Rubanda district, ACP Simon Peter Wafana the head of Manpower Audit and Verification encouraged officers to be selfless and nationalistic.

“Exercise the highest level of professionalism, discipline and review all sorts of things that could taint the image of the Police,” he said.

The team was also reminded officers to know their schedule of duties, accomplish tasks given, seek guidance always and to examine and review the way they operate through working closely with the local community so as to fight criminality in the area.

The campaigns is aimed at boosting the personnel morale in the field, listen to challenges affecting their effective policing and also interact with the local community and get their views on how best they can improve a force that is effective and accountable to the public.
