MUKONO – Police in Mukono have Wednesday, December 4, sealed off the MP Mukono Municipality Hon Betty Nambooze’s home in Nakabago Village, Mukono Municipality blocking her from joining President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the Anti-Corruption walk.

Two police patrol cars were deployed to the MP. One was parked at her gate and the other at the road leading to her home. Reporters were also barred from accessing her home.

The legislator who had earlier promised to join the rest of the country in the march was surprised to see police outside her home at about 11 pm on Tuesday night.

Today, President Museveni has lead the walk code-named Anti- Corruption Walk from Constitutional Square to Kololo in Kampala that is aimed at intensifying the fight against corruption.

The walk is part of Uganda’s participation in the global recognition of the Anti-corruption week under the theme “Promoting Accountability for National Development.”

By press time efforts to access Hon Nambooze were in vain as no one was allowed to reach her home.

The District Police Commander Joab Wabwire declined to comment on the matter.
