MUBENDE – Mzee Home Care foundation-a non profit organisation has stretched their helping hand to give to those in need especially the elderly, orphans and kids Christmas so that they can celebrate the festive season with a smile.

This was during their out reach in Katogo, Mubende district were an assortment of goodies that included: beddings, basins, jerry cans, clothing, jackets, rice, sugar, soap, posho, beans among others.

According to Ms. Joy Nissi Mutamba one of the founders, they reach out to very many people regardless of their political and religious inclination.

“We are so busy growing up and often forget that our parents are growing old. There is need to love and take care of our parents because they once sacrificed so much and took care of us. It is one of the greatest honors given to us by God and the reason we have extended our support to those in need like these ones in Mubede.” She said.

The foundation has been in existence for more than one year and has reached out to many vulnerable families and communities with the support of volunteers, local leaders, social workers, medical practioners among others.
