Sniffer dog links security guard to FDC stolen computer, files

Police have arrested one person and continue investigations into a reported break-in at the FDC party headquarters in Najjanankumbi (PHOTO/Courtesy).

KAMPALA —Police has on Tuesday November 19 arrested the security guard at the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) offices, Dunstan Ojuka, after sniffer dogs tracked the party’s stolen computers to his rental unit.

The FDC says the affected offices were that of Secretary General and party Electoral Commission.

“They attempted to break into the office of Secretary General, successfully broke the pad locks but failed to enter as the internal lock failed to open,” the FDC said in a statement.

“The Office of Electoral Commission was fully broken into, a few documents and four computer sets taken while some parts were left scattered in the lower Compound section,” their statement adds.

Police have arrested the officer at at Najjanankumbi Police Station and continue investigations into a reported break-in at the FDC party headquarters in Najjanankumbi.

Police is yet to issue an official statement regarding the investigation on matter.
