MUYENGA – Businessman Godfrey Kirumira, the chairman of Kwagalana Group has reportedly been beaten up by soldiers attached to former Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, Lt. Gen. Charles Angina in an alleged dubious land deal on Saturday morning.
Tycoon Kirumira was reportedly involved in a land scam at International Hotel in Muyenga that brought him serious trouble including the army beatings.
The Eagle quoting sources reported that tycoon is in land row with the deputy coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), Gen Agina.
“It is true chairman has been beaten badly by soldier sent by Gen. Angina and this is so because Angina is using his current position in Operation Wealth Creation to take over his land”, sources said
It is alleged that Kirumira troubles began on Saturday morning after soldiers grabbed him and physically struck him before fleeing for his life.
