Small Claims Procedure launched at Sembabule Magistrates Court

SEMBABULE —The people of Ssembabule on Tuesday October 15 gathered at the Magistrate’s Court to witness the launch of Small Claims Procedure (SCP).

Sembabule Residential District Commissioner, Mr. Kabuye Nickson, presided over the launch.

“Small Claims Procedure is affordable and judgment is quick,” he said asking the people of Ssembabule to start writing agreements from now on so as to make easy for court to deliver judgment.

In attendance was Ag. Assistant Registrar in charge of SCP, Lillian Bucyana, who mentioned to the people that this is the 59th gazetted court.

“We are not stopping here but going to expand SCP to other courts in Uganda”, she added.

The Grade one Magistrate, Oburu Morris too got opportunity to interact with the people mentioned to them that court is always open and ready to deliver Justice for all.

“Our courts are open for all irrespective of the case.”

Other participants included; the Chief Magistrate Sejjemba Deo, the DSO, Lt. Mugabe Robert, the DPC, Musinguzi Denis, political and civic leaders
