Kasaija lauds Belgium for cordial bilateral cooperation

KAMPALA – Finance Minister Matia Kasaija has applauded the government of Belgium for cordial bilateral cooperation with the Government of Uganda.

Kasaija was speaking at the meeting with the Secretary-General for Development Cooperation at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bruno van der Pluijm at the Ministry of Finance on Thursday 10.

“I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Kingdom of Belgium for the never-ending beneficial and cordial bilateral cooperation with the Government of Uganda,” said Kasaija.

The Secretary-General was accompanied by the Ambassador of Belgium to Uganda, Rudi Veestraeten and the Head of Development Cooperation at the Embassy, Erwin De Wandel.

Kasaija requested the Kingdom of Belgium to maintain support in the sectors of Health, Education, Water and Environment as well as Public Service.

The minister and his guests also discussed Private sector development among other development coperation issues.

Kasaija invited Belgian Investors and Tourists to Uganda the Pearl of Africa.
