MENGO HOSPITAL – Al Hajj Bashir Kazibwe Mbaziira, the Uganda Journalist Association President has been admitted to Mengo Hospital after his health situation deteriorated on Saturday Evening.

Mr. Kazibwe last month was admitted in Nairobi after the alleged poisoning.

Mr. Latif Sebaggala Sengendo, the Kawempe North Member of Parliament who visited the frail journalist on Sunday morning said UJA boss’ health situation is worrying.

“The [health] situation is worrying but let’s all have him in our prayers until we come to the bottom of this” he briefly told us.

Few weeks ago, Mr. Kazibwe alleged that medical reports he didn’t disclose to public show that he was poisoned.

“Dear family, friends and fans, am writing this with a strong mind and spirit whose body has been taken to the edge of death only to be saved by the Master of our Destiny-Allah,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

“It’s been 18 excruciatingly painful days of coming face to face with death itself. The confirmed cause lethal Poisoning. Why? The doers will answer to their Lord,” he retorted in an excerpt from his Facebook post.

He further noted that his doctors in Nairobi advised him to stick to his medication for the next six months, coupled with a physical medical review and re-examination every month.
