MUKONO – Vice President Edward Ssekandi has Tuesday, May 14 paid a tribute to the deceased twins of State Minister for Water Resources, Ronald Kibuule.
Mr. Ssekandi said “This was a very unfortunate incident for such young kids to die untimely because they not committed any sins at their age,” adding that “But God loved them more.”
The Vice President consoled the parents of the deceased and urged them to stay strong in such difficult times.
Other Ministers and MPs have also attended the prayer service inside Kibuule’s mansion that was headed by Mukono Bishop Rt. Rev James William Ssebaggala.
Former Information Minister Jim Muhwezi who is also at the function has advised parents to provide child-proof locking systems to protect kids from such unfortunate incidences.
“I have a swimming pool at my residence and I don’t have a net to cover it,” said Muhwezi.
“This is a very big lesson to us,” he added as mourners listened attentively at Kibuule’s home in Mbalala, Mukono.
State Minister for Water and Environment Ronald Kubuule lost his twin sons when they drowned in a swimming pool, on Monday, May 13.
Kibuule’s 2-year-old twins, Raymon Kato and Rayden Wasswa are believed to have been playing around the swimming pool before they drowned.
