KAMPALA – Pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s estranged wife Teddy Naluswa was on Saturday at Pastor Robert Kayanja’s Rubaga Miracle Centre where Christians there prayed for her to overcome her marriage problems.

Last week, Pastor Kayanja’s wife Jessica announced a month-long prayer for Ms Naluswa, who accuses her husband Bugingo of trying to force her out of her marital home.

And on Saturday, the Kayanjas kept their promise, holding a long prayer session for Ms Naluswa. Pastor Kayanja called her in front of the congregation.

The move is bound to have annoyed Bugingo of the Makerere-based House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI).

Last week, he attacked Ms. Jessica Kayanja, calling her “arrogant.”

“Never involve yourself in issues you don’t understand with ignorance. I have never sat you down to tell you my family issues, a symbol which shows that we have nothing in common though (we are) not enemies. We have never stepped in your church, so if Teddy came to you then advise her wisely,” he said.

It has now emerged that following the conflict, Pastor Bugingo has gone to the Uganda Registration Service Bureau so as to change shareholdings changed of most of the properties he had registered with wife Teddy.

Ms. Naluswa accuses her husband of trying to wreck their 29-year-old marriage and replacing her with another woman. “My husband has for long been asking me divorce without any genuine reason,” said Ms. Teddy.

However, Mr. Bugingo accuses his wife and daughter of trying to steal the church land.

Pastor Bugingo reportedly asked his wife for a divorce, but she declined to grant his request, because being the lead pastors in the church, she was of the view they must be an example to other married people.

He also accused Teddy and their daughter Doreen Kirabo Bugingo of trying to take control of the Church Property through dubious means.

Pastor Bugingo’s other wife Susan Makula Nantaba works at Salt media, one of the business ventures of Bugingo but has a 14 year son who is in senior one in one the secondary schools in Wakiso. This boy is from her failed marriage where she split with the father the son and even dragged him to court for child support.
