KAMPALA – The visiting delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Tuesday, March 2 participated in marathon activities that included a visit to the Source of River Nile in Jinja about 80Km East of Kampala City.
Earlier in the morning, the guests held a breakfast meeting with the Vice President H.E Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi before engaging in a business conference at Sheraton Hotel. They also paid a visit to Butebe Village Party offices in Mukono District on their way to Jinja. The visitors were entertained to traditional dances from the NRM grassroots members in Mukono.
Throughout their second day in Uganda, the guests were in the company of the NRM Deputy National Treasurer Dr. Kenneth Omona on behalf of the Secretariat.
Impressive hospitality
The Leader of the delegation and CPC Jilin Provincial Secretary, Hon. Buyin Chaolu said they are impressed with the level of hospitality accorded to them by both the hosting NRM Party. He also commented on the beautiful vegetation. “We shall promote Uganda’s beautiful story when we return home. We are touched by the great hospitality accorded to us” said Buyin Chaolu at a dinner organised for them by SG Lumumba at Serena Hotel on Monday evening.
The Chinese delegation from Jilin Province is here on an invitation extended to them by the NRM Secretary General Rt. Hon Justine Kasule Lumumba and they return home on Wednesday evening.
Meeting president Museveni 3rd Wednesday
Secretary-General Rt. Hon. Justine Kasule Lumumba will this Wednesday morning lead her guests to Gulu in the Nothern Region to meet the NRM National Party Chairman and Head of State, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The visit to Gulu will officially mark the end of their 3-day visit. On return from Gulu, SG Lumumba will officially see off her guests at Entebbe International Airport.
