KAMPALA– The Leader of Opposition, Hon. Betty Aol Ocan, has called upon His Eminence Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala to pray for Parliament of Uganda so that it can serve the people of Uganda as expected.

Aol Ochan in her address over the weekend, asked the Cardinal Wamala to pray for the office of the Leader of Opposition as it executes its work.

This was during the Parliament Catholic Chaplaincy visit to the Cardinal at his residency in Nsambya, Kampala to present the icon of the holy family to him for his blessing before it can be sent to Zambia, its next destination.

The icon of the holy family is a symbol that requires the Catholic families from across the globe to interact, pray and reflect on the core values of marriage and family as the cornerstone of society and the church.

While receiving the icon, the Cardinal extended his gratitude to the services that Members of Parliament have rendered to the communities and their respective constituencies.

He thanked the Parliament Catholic chaplaincy for representing the Catholic Church and its core values of fighting for the innocent lives as children of God.
