NTV Uganda news reporter, Culton Scovia Nakamya has called it quits and is set to be unveiled at BBS Terefayina (FILE PHOTO)

KAMPALA – Barely a week after NTV Uganda’s top and longtime news anchor, Rachael Arinaitwe Mwine departed the Serena based station, another celebrated news reporter, Culton Scovia Nakamya has also thrown in the towel.

Information reaching this website indicates that Nakamya is headed to the Buganda Kingdom owned BBS Terefayina.

Nakamya has for the past four years been NTV Uganda‘s Luweero Triangle-based journalist and has covered a number of stories including the outbreak of the highly contagious foot and mouth disease in the region a couple of years back.

According to sources at BBS TV, she starts working next month (November).

Nakamya however, declined to confirm the reports saying she will comment later on the matter.

This has come days after several other celebrated journalists including Maurice Mugisha have defected the station.

Mugisha, the former head of News at NTV called it quits a couple of weeks ago and joined state-run Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) where he will be working as a deputy managing director.
