KAMPALA– One of the NTV Uganda most senior news anchors Rachael Mwine Arinaitwe has quit the Serena based Television as the mass exodus of staff continues.

Ms. Rachael Mwine on Thursday night appeared on TV for her last time where she also anchored the 9 pm bulletin and announced that she was leaving the station.

The celebrated news anchor, however, said she signed out on a good note.

NTV Management also confirmed Rachael Mine’s exit and wished her the very best in her next Journey.

“A surprise for @arinaitwerach [Rachael Mwine] as she signs out after serving as an anchor at NTV for 7 years!!! NTV is extremely grateful and honoured to have worked with you, Rach. We wish you all the very best on your next journey,” NTV posted on Twitter.

The journalist, who has worked for the NTV Uganda for more 7 years, said the company made her a celebrity.

Rachael Mwine is married to Ben Mwine and the two have a son together.

This has come days after NTV Uganda lost Head of News Maurice Mugisha to state-run Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) where he will be working as a deputy managing director.
