KAMPALA – Singer and Kyadondo East legislator Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also known as Bobi wine, has decried the social media and mobile money taxes saying they have turned Ugandan into beasts of burden.

Mr Kyagulanyi in a video that went viral on social media said that many people work very hard but all the government does is to milk the last pain out of them instead of giving them start-up incentives like in others countries.

“We protest because the more we are forced to pay, is the more government says does not have enough money and keeps borrowing debts,” he said adding that the government is simply making squeezing life out of the hard working Uganda.

He said Ugandans should reject the ‘double’ and ‘triple taxations’ with the contempt that they deserve adding that social media is not a luxury as president Yoweri Museveni asserts.

“The government just doesn’t understand our hustle,” Kyagulanyi said in a video.
