WAKISO- Wakiso Chief Magistrate’s Court July 6 remanded a man over the kidnap and murder of his two siblings.
Taibu Semakula alias Shafick was arrested by Wakiso Police Station upon investigations on having a hand in kidnap and slay of his young step brother and sister.
It is said that Semakula was grown up by his step dad Charles Katende who married his (Semakula) mother Catherine Nantume but was later dropped due to his poor behaviours.
He stole his step father’s sewing machines, an act that led to his arrest and detention.
According to police, Semakula vowed to do something strange to Katende that he would never forget in life.
A few weeks after his release, May 18th 2018, he was sighted by the residents around Naluvule where his step dad’s family is located the day when the deceased went missing.
The key suspect was reported and arrested and investigations began.
Isreal Namalengo and Dorcus Nakiwunga were murdered and their bodies were dumped in a swamp around Naluvule where they were picked and buried in Sekanyonyi Mityana District.
Semakula had also been arrested in 2016, imprisoned at Naguru remand home over involvement in kidnap and killing of his aunt’s children in Kawaala.
He is currently remanded over murder and kidnap cases vide case file no. CRB 270/2018.
