Ochola reappoints police officer sacked by Kayihura in fresh reshuffle

Then Kigezi police boss Paul Nkore addresses residents.

Inspector General of Police Martins Okoth Ochola has reinstated Paul Nkore as a Regional Police Commander (RPC), hardly a year after he was removed from the position by former IGP Kale Kayihura for allegedly siding with one of the candidates in the Rukiga NRM primaries last year.

In the reshuffle announced on Monday evening, Nkore has bounced back as Kiira Region RPC from the position of Deputy Commander Tourism Police.  During the Rukiga NRM party primaries, Victoria Atukunda Abigail, the loser, during a meeting at State House, reported to President Museveni that police in the Kigezi sub region led by Nkore connived with her opponent Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi and arrested all her agents.
