KAMPALA- President Museveni has hit back at Kyaddondo East MP Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, saying his recent statements criticising the ruling party were ill informed and arrogant.

The President, in a statement released by his office on Saturday evening, addressed to issues specifically raised by the popular musician-turned legislator, addressing criticism on skyrocketing unemployment levels, security and the national debt.

President Museveni avoided to put his views forward on the currrent divisive debate on the move by a section of ruling party MPs to remove the Constitutional age cap, which is widely seen as a move to favour him run for the 2021 elections, for which he is ineligible.

He said: “The Age Limit Debate is starting. I will give my views at the right time. What is not acceptable, however, is intimidation and violence. Those are fascist methods. Let everybody speak his mind freely and without threats. We shall confront and defeat anybody who intimidates or threatens our peace”.

He has been accused of using the section of ruling party MPS led by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi as fronts in the grand scheme of life presidency project.
