MUKONO–A Chinese woman working with Nile Steel Company located in Mukono was yesterday killed in an armed robbery.

Police has identified the deceased as Yang Yeshu a 60-year-old woman who has been working as a cashier at the company.

It is alleged that two armed men broke into her office and shot her.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima said Yeshu was rushed to Namirembe hospital, Mukono where she succumbed to her wounds.

Kayima said police discovered catridges at the scene that prove that the gunmen used a pistol.
He said police are studying a CCTV footage to establish the identity of the assailants and also find out whether they took any money.

Mukono has in the recent past been gripped by a wave of insecurity with the most affected villages being Butebe, Kikooza, Colline Street, Nabuti, Kigombya and lower Kauga and Nasuti.
