Prominent musician and Kyaddondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine could have lived to see his dream come true.

This was after the musician-turned politician shared a platform with the powerful and mighty of this world, including former USA president Barack Obama, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas, the chief executive officer of Vodafone, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan; the chief executive officer of Wikipedia, Marissa Mayer; Nobel prize winner Malala Will-i-am of Black Eyed Peas, Trevor Noah and many other influential personalities from across the world.

This was during the Global Goalkeepers conference held in New York yesterday.

Speaking during the conference, Bobi Wine was quick to point out that he was a ghetto youth for several years, but because of his confidence, majority of the youth entrusted him and sent him to Parliament to articulate their views and help transform their lives.

“My speech focused on making decisive political change that requires citizens, especially the youth, to not only hold the leaders and decision makers accountable but to actually take a step and become the leaders and decision makers themselves. This was a special opportunity for me to interact with the world movers and shakers for the benefit of Kyaddondo East and Uganda at large.I thank you Bill Gates and your dear wife Melinda for the invitation and hospitality,” Bobi Wine said.

He is expected back in the country today at 2pm.
