- There are no easy games in Premier League. All matches are a test. You either show up or you get smashed.

- Chelsea are not title favourites because they are five players short of a squad required to challenge on four fronts.

- Cesc Fabregas is a good midfield player but he doesn’t have the workrate to thrive in a 3-4-3. He needs another body along him or 30 minutes per game.

- Michy Batshuayi is not good enough to lead the line for a title chasing team. If you can’t hurt Burnley you better off in Ligue 1.

- All teams have re-stocked players and improved apart from Chelsea.

- There are negative vibes emanating from Stamford Bridge. The fight between the board and Antonio Conte is negatively impacting the team. Remember when he said he wanted a direct line to owner Roman Abramovich?

- Chelsea must scrap position of technical director and give manager authority over transfers. A title winner like Conte can’t afford someone like Michael Emenalo overseeing his work.

- Alvaro Morata showed the hunger, skill and energy to thrive in difficult circumstances. He is going to be a hit.

- Loss was a wake up call. Loss of Fabregas and Cahill means trip to Tottenham Hotspur is an uphill battle.

- Second half performance after falling to ten men is a pointer that fighting spirit that brought title hasn’t dissipated.
