Soulful star Celine Banza set to perform in Uganda this Saturday

KAMPALA – Congolese budding soulful artiste Celine Banza will this Saturday, March 7 perform live in Uganda on an invitation by Alliance Francais Kampala.

Alliance Fracais is together with partners as part of its activities to celebrate Women’s day as well as the 50th anniversary of the francophonie in the capital’s heart at National theatre.
Ms. Morgane Guimier, Alliance Francais Director Kampala, said Ms. Banza will be in Uganda as part of the her tour in over 20 countries around the world and Uganda is previldged to have such a young talented singer, actress and choreographer.

Morgane urged people to come through and attend the show since it is very affordable and it is a platform to network.

Ms. Susan Kerunen, a cultural coordinator revealed that it will be an opportunity to get inspired by her coming as a rising star hitting the global at rocket speed.

Kerunen was quick to say that they will hold a conference prior the concert about womens role in the arts industry with panelists such as ; Sarah Kizza Nsigaye( festival director and film maker ), Afrie (Singer and song – write) Maria Stella Nambogga (Manager Janzi Band), Juliana Akoryo Naumo (Commissioner Culture and Family Affairs at Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development)

Banza is a 22 year old award winner from Kisangani , Democratic Republic of Congo ( DRC ) for the RFI Discoverie 2019 for her song “Te Rembi” meaning My Body.

She has songs like “Legi gi No Gbo” and “Nami leli” that have had numerous rotations on the media.
