KAMPALA – Singer Desire Luzinda has on Wednesday applauded fellow musician Vinka real name Veronica Luggya upon her new deal with Sony Music Entertainment in South Africa.
“Woke up to this great news and while I kept imagining what kind of joy Vinka feels, I also couldn’t fail to notice how most of us focus on competition. It makes us fail to realise that we all have different destinies,” said Kitone singer on her social media platforms.
“The Almighty has endowed you with your respective gift or profession not to fail you,” she added.
Ms. Luzinda 38 said different people have difference lucks, saying that that’s why Obama became president of the USA at the age of 47 and Trump at 70.
“Instance to look at is of Barrack Obama who, on merit, became a president at 47. For Trump got to the throne at 70,” she said, adding that, “Destiny ought to come no matter the circumstances around you nor time.”
In her congratulatory message, Luzinda said that “It doesn’t matter whether your folks that you started a journey with are hitting their targets before you or vice versa.”
She also encouraged people to learn to celebrate others’ lucks for their time is also coming.
“You got to celebrate their success and DO NOT fall prey for the evil chains of jealousy. Everyone’s time is coming!” she educated.
“To you Vinka; You came with a bang. You received lots of praises and lots of humiliations. You leaned onto persistence and proved that you are doing ‘you’ and doing it to your best. And boom! Just when they least expected it, you have given everyone a shocker.”
Vinka on Tuesday, May 28 signed a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment in South Africa.
The Swangz Avenue recording artist took the news to her social media expressing her gratitude and thankfulness to her bosses and supporters.
“I am Glad To Announce that I have joined the Sony Music Africa Family!! Thanks to my family at Swangz Avenue for believing in me since Day One and everyone else that has ever believed in me and loved Vinka,” she posted.
Desire Luzinda is one of the most popular Ugandan pop musicians as put by East African renowned Celebrity Personal Assistant Bryan Morel Muhumuza. Ms. Luzinda sings in Luganda, English, and Swahili.
