KAMPALA – Songstress Hajara Namukwaya aka Spice Diana has dropped a bomb on fellow artists (male) who would wish to date her or have her as a wife in a recent interview where she has spoken about her marriage plans.
Spice who buried hopes of male musicians who have often sought and dreamt of winning a place in her heart as lovers was bitter with her sentiments on dating fellow musicians.
While appearing in a radio interview, the ‘Kokonyo’ singer said she would never fall in love with a colleague in the same business she does citing how it would be disastrous for each other’s music careers especially after breaking-up.
“It’s a bit hard, and complicated for me. If you go by the records, such relationships have and will always end in tears. If the relationship ends in tears, we can’t look in each other’s face hence disrupting my business,” Spice said.
The Source Management Songstress added that she can’t handle it because when she breaks-up with someone, she doesn’t even look into their face.
The singer is not the first person to come out to dismiss issues of entangling with fellow artists. Late last year, Irene Ntale also came out and shared her sentiments on the same.
The RnB, reggae, and acoustic artiste said that she cannot and will never marry someone in the same industry emphasizing that she would really wish to have someone who does not have any single interest in doing music.
Ntale while getting much deeper into the conversation said men fear approaching artistes because of their statuses which usually comes in as an injustice.
While other artists seem to have no problem finding someone to marry, it is not the case with Irene Ntale who said that she is taking an ample amount of time to get herself together and find the right man to call hubby.
“I’m not in a rush to get married and I’m sure God will help me get a man at the right time,” Ntale stressed as she responded to the numerous questions from fans about her getting off the hook.
