ENTEBBE – Veteran Radio political show host Abbey Ssewakiryanga alias Basajja Mivule has asked President Museveni to lend him his presidential powers for three days so that he can help him crush Bobi Wine.
Mivule in a video that went viral on social media where he was at State House in Entebbe vowed to crash Bobi Wine’s plans of causing violence in Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono amongst other urban areas ahead of the January 14 polls.
In the video, he shared that he was meeting Museveni to request him to put him in charge of Kampala for just three days and be able to counter Bobi Wine and his supporters.
“I am here to ask President Museveni to officially give me the instruments of power for at least three days and I destroy Bobi Wine and his NUP supporters before the elections,” Mivule said.
He added that he is tired of seeing innocent youths dying for the wrong cause yet Bobi Wine’s intention is to sacrifice them to his gods.
In August last year, Basajja Mivule has claimed Robert Kyagulanyi cannot replace President Yoweri Museveni in the 2021 elections.
The angry Mivule in a Facebook live video said God still wants Museveni to rule the country adding that people power is full of “hooligans” and “homosexuals” who are morally lame.
“President Museveni will not leave office only to be replaced with this bunch of rogues, imbeciles, drug addicts and homosexuals. We deserve better as a country and we cannot afford to look on as our country heads into an unprecedented turmoil even God himself won’t allow that to happen,” he ranted then.
The veteran journalist further said no sane Ugandan can allow to be led by “hooligans” who are intolerant when engaging with opponents adding that voting Bobi Wine into power would be the greatest mistake even God wouldn’t forgive.
Mivule who promised to fight the party until it collapses said he has started from Gayaza in Wakiso where many had given up on Bobi Wine.
“I’m still contemplating on which party to recruit them into since I have not made up my mind on the choice,” said Mivule.
Mivule was once a renowned opposition fanatic as he spent most of his radio career critizing Museveni’s government. He was also once a National Unity Platform loyalist before he crossed over to the ruling National Resistance Movement.
