KAMPALA – Holic Pads Proprietor and Team No Sleep songstress Sheebah Karungi has tipped parents on how to raise their girl children for there is a lot more than meets the eye in such a role.

The self-styled ‘Swag Mama’ cautions parents that it is their role to teach their daughters the importance of hard work and self-love.

According to the diva through her social media platforms, she tips parents to teach their daughters how to be hard working and stop seeking for validation from the male gender each time they want something on their own.

“Please teach your daughters that there’s more to life than male attention. Teach your daughters to first love themselves & work hard for themselves then everything else will fall in place,” Sheebah posted.

Her remarks come two days after she called upon Ugandans to always share basic needs with the needy saying it should be everyone’s responsibility to help the poor.

She said giving back means sharing the little you have with those in need.

“You don’t have to be rich to give back. Giving back is about sharing the little you have with the less privileged. It is having the empathy to feel the need for others without expecting anything in return. Together we can make a huge difference,” she posted on her social media platforms

Sheebah Karungi broke the record after being the first female Ugandan artist to be nominated in this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA).

She was nominated in the category of ‘Best African Act” alongside last year’s winner Burna Boy from Nigeria, Rema from Nigeria, Gaz Mawete from Democratic Republic of Congo and Jerusalema hit maker Master KG.

We hope for the best from the Diva as she is no stranger to success. She has in the past won several awards both locally and internationally.

The awards which are slated for November 8 in Johannesburg, South Africa will have performances from Yemi Alade, Alikiba, Casper Nyovest, Ycee, Babes Woduma among others.
