KAMPALA – Ugandan socialite Shanita Namuyimbwa popularly known as Bad Black on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on the Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga.
Bad Black said she has all along been yearning to meet the leadership in Buganda Kingdom and her dream truly came to pass after meeting the Katikiro.
“I have been excited to see the Katikiro, I always see him on TV and today I am happy that he has not seen me as Bad Black but as Shanitah Namuyimbwa and that is why he has said that I should be coming back. I had never been to Mengo but I always just pass by it when I am going to Pastor Kayanja’s church Mengo,”she shared.
The socialite also bought certificates worth 200,000 Shillings from Buganda Kingdom treasury and said the money will help in the activities of the Kingdom.
‘I will preserve my culture and tradition by all means. I believe culture is the source of wisdom and wealth,’ she said.
Buganda Kingdom Premier Charles Peter Mayiga was thrilled to see the socialite and requested her to keep paying the courtesy visits to Mengo.
“I had never seen Shanitah Namuyimbwa (Bad Black) in person, today has been my first time. Let me hope you will continue coming here,” the premier told Bad Black.
The snap chat queen pledged to continue supporting activities of Buganda Kingdom as she is proud to be hailing from the mighty kingdom.
“The little I will have, I will give to the Kingdom as I am sure it will go a long way in helping people. People do not know that I am religious and I have a humanitarian heart,” she said.
Black also urged parents to take their children to the ‘Ekisakaate’ so they can be groomed with discipline and life skills.
