KAMPALA – Rema Namakula’s car is on sale in a city car bond, fuelling rumours that the singer is seeking to raise money so as to pay off debts from her just-concluded expensive introduction ceremony.

This website has seen a Prado TX registration number UAZ 603Q in her Rema’s names on sale in one of the Kampala city car bonds.

While we could not immediately get a comment from the artiste, sources privy to the matter said she is trying to offset debts.

“I cannot exactly say she is choking on debts but she spent heavily during her introduction ceremony and has to pay off many service providers,” a source said.

The source added that her husband, Hamza Sebunya, has already sold off his car as part of the arrangement to pay off debts, whose amount is unknown.

It was pomp and glamour as Namakula introduced Dr Ssebunya to her parents in Nabbingo, Masaka road on November 14.

Dr Ssebunya’s entourage set off from Kabira Country Club and arrived in Nabbingo at noon. They came with a truck of bread that they served to the villagers. Ssebunya also gave out some money to the gathering of people who flocked the road to get a glimpse of him.
