The gospel industry in Uganda has always revolved around big artists on the scene whose music is having massive rotations on the airwaves.

One cannot miss pillars such as Pr. Wilson Bugembe, Levixione, Coopy bly, Brian Lubega, Judith Babirye, Fortune Spice, Exodus, Morgan Isaac, Lvodorus among others.

All these formidable artists cannot make it without the support of the dee-jays who are always the first point of contact to the consumers and lovers of their music.

On the gospel scene, the shift has been soaring and some players such as PowerHouse DJs’ are at the forefront to promote the same as much as the secular world is doing.

PML Daily’s Abraham Mutalyebwa had an encounter with DJ LouderHouse real names Timothy Muntu Ruyonga, a Christian deejay and a former NBS TV employee.

He has worked on events that include; Teenphest18, SoulfestCamp18, High school Mega fest, DLD party, Church Club, Royal Rumble, The Encounter Night Bash, Powerhouse PG18 among others.

To Abraham’s astonishment, ladies have also joined the field which has been male-dominated for quite a long time and dee-jay Priscilla Akongo alias Prissie-the boss lady is one of them who have defied the odds and remained a strong Christians from St. Luke Church Ntinda.

She admitted that being a Dee Jay under Power House Brand is like a dream that has come true because it is rare to find ladies that are passionate about the venture.

Paul Businge, Power House DJs Chief executive  Officer said; “For us, at Powerhouse we are glad to have this team of young vibrant youth that brings tremendous experience of playing at the most urban gospel events.

Dj Prissie is very passionate about music and she loves Jesus Christ.

She is new in the industry and we have no doubt that we are going to groom her and make her one of the best in Uganda, East Africa and Africa at Large.” “These two are going to complimented by Robinkist under the Deejays for Christ Brand Line.”

Several Parties have been organised around Kampala that is strictly Christian and the recent one was the “Rave ” that took place at Garden city rooftop with only gospel Deejays on the decks and this attracted a mammoth crowd that was bigger than most secular ones.

There are also outstanding dee-jays such as Reign, Twonjex, Awo among others that have held the bull by the horn.
