MUNYONYO — Tycoon Sudhir Rupaleria has rallied revellers for the this weekend’s Goat Races, an event that attracts thousands of city’s socialites and other city party animals to the shores of Lake Victoria at the magnificent Speke Resort, Munyonyo.
Sudhir in the recorded video says the Goat Races is a great function for charity purposes.
“The Goat Races time is here. It’s a great function for charity purposes and of course charity being the main part of the evening, we also have fun,” he says.
It is understood that goats will be racing again on Saturday, October 12 at the goat-race birthplace, Speke Resort Munyonyo.
The Goat Races is the biggest social event in Uganda for the last 25 years in terms of ultimately the fun show for everyone who likes to socialize and network people from various circles.
Recently, Sudhir’s son Rajiv Ruparelia one of the lead organisers revealed that that unlike the prior Ascot Goat Races, the edition will be graced by fun-filled activities such as the Silent Disco, Chill-Out Lounges – for revelers to mingle, and so much more.
Tickets will go for UGX 50,000 and they are readily available to all Speke Hotels in Kampala, according to organizers.
Gates open from 8 am with the goat races starting at 10:30 am.
Proceeds from this edition will go to charity and in particular to the construction of sanitary toilets at Good Samaritan High School in Kamwokya.
