KAMPALA – Held under the theme #BalanceForBetter, this year, The International Women’s day is a worldwide event that celebrates women’s achievements – from the political to the social – while calling for gender equality.
PML Daily recognizes the great work done by the women and has spotted out some of the events happening that our esteemed ladies should attend.
1. Meet the Boss (Lioness in Business Edition).
This Women’s Day the 6th Edition of Meet The Boss is happening this Friday, March 8, at Sky Hotel, Naguru.
Dubbed “Lioness Edition ” will feature Uganda’s top-notch businesswomen as a celebration of their formidable edge in Business and economic. development.
It is feature Angela Bageine Chairperson UWEAL, Nataly Bitature – Chief of Staff Simba group, Amb. Rosa Malango- Resident Coordinator UN, Prudence Ukkonika – CEO Bella wines among others to share ideas on how to support one another and uplift young entrepreneurs.
2. Maureen Nantume in Ndi Muzadde Concert.
The much anticipated “Ndi muzadde” concert by Maureen Nantuume is happening on 8th March at Club Obligato on Bombo Road. Come dance, enjoy and have fun with Uganda’s finest Diva. It will also feature great female acts to wrap-up the concert. Entrance is shs 20,000.
3. Celebrating Women with Irene Mubiru at Jazz Ville.
Uganda’s legendary songbird, Irene Namubiru will be rocking the stage alongside the code9 band on Women’s day at Jazz Ville, Bandali Rise Bugolobi. To enjoy the Grand show one will part away with UGX 30,000.
4. Girls Festival at Hockey Grounds.
The girls festival is happening this Women’s Day at Hockey Grounds having lots of activities including an exhibition by various entrepreneurs, games and lots of fun. Entrance is shs 5,000.

5. Weekend Lujja at the Uganda Museum.

6.Ladies night at Actatus Hotel.
Actatus hotel presents ladies night on 8th March in Makindye Luwafu. There will be lots of fun, music, cocktails and all kinds of foods at affordable prices.
7. Women Get Away East Africa at Méstil Hotel.
The annual women get away East Africa is happening at Méstil Hostel and Residences in Nsambya.
The theme is Recharge Body mind and Soul. Miss at your own risk.
8. Women’s Day Conference.
It will be happening at Fido Fido on Kampala road under the theme: “Mystery of the Missing Rib“. There will be your great speakers that will include Pastor Hakiza Isaac, Pastor Mark Kigozi, Pr. Cindy Kiganda, Pr. Sarah Kimuli among others. Gates are open for everyone.
