KAMPALA – Today, February 1, 2019 marks exactly one full year since Ugandan singer, songwriter and Moses Sekibogo Nakintije alias Mowzey Radio died.
As fellow artistes continue to bless this day in his memory, the mother Kasubo Jane has revealed that Radio did not leave any property to the family as he was the only one providing for the family.
At the camp fire lit up at Mowzey Radio’s house where most the singers were gathered, the mother said that Radio left them only songs because his kids (orphans) even stopped schooling.
“Sekibogo used to be our sole bread provider that’s why his death hit me so hard. His children are no longer going to school because of lack of school fees, is siblings are also seated home doing nothing because Moses didn’t leave us any possessions, not any buildings but only his songs. We hope to get some money when his songs are released and hopefully it helps”, said Mowzey Radio’s mother.
Mozwey comes from the family of 5 kids, all born by Kasuubo Jane. He also left three kids.
Last year February 1 in Entebbe, Mowzey Radio breathed last following the 22nd January 2018 bar brawl at De-Bar where he sustained nasty head injuries that left him bedridden at Case Hospital until the day he passed on. He was laid to rest on February 3, in Nakawuka, Entebbe.
Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo, also known as Mowzey Radio, was a Ugandan musician. He was one of the main performers of the Ugandan music group Goodlyfe Crew together with Jose Chameleone’s brother Weasel Manizo real name Douglas Sseguya.
