KAMPALA, Uganda — United Bank for Africa Uganda Limited (UBA Uganda) has announced the appointment of Mr. Kisambira Kenneth as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.
Kisambira, who brings over 18 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector, previously served as the Executive Director and Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking for UBA Uganda.
The appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen UBA Uganda’s position as a leading financial institution in the country. Kenneth’s expertise in corporate finance, digital transformation, strategy implementation, corporate governance, and team leadership is expected to drive growth and transformation at the bank.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kisambira Kenneth as our new Managing Director/CEO,” said the Board of Directors in a statement. “We are confident that his wealth of experience and expertise will advance our strategic vision and drive growth for the bank.”
He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Business School in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration & Management from Uganda Martyrs University.
The Board also extended its appreciation to the outgoing CEO, Mrs. Chioma A. Mang, for her exemplary service and leadership since 2020.
