KAMPALA — Airtel Uganda has Thursday July 1 extended free data, Airtel voice calls and Person To Person Airtel Money transactions to its customers as a token of appreciation for their patience and continued support.

On the 29th June, 2021, Airtel Uganda experienced a service down time that temporarily interrupted access to Airtel Money Services. The services have since been fully restored and are operating seamlessly.

“I would like thank our customers for the patience exhibited during this time and for the continued support to Airtel Uganda. As a way of appreciation, customers are being rewarded with 6 minutes of Airtel voice calls, 40MBs of data for 24-hours and free Person-To-Person transactions for 1st July 2021. Airtel equally regrets any inconvenience caused to our customers as a result of the down time,” said Mr. Manoj Murali, the Managing Director of Airtel Uganda.

We urge our customers to disregard any misinformation regarding the safety of our customer funds.

“I wish also wish to confirm that the temporary service interruption did not in anyway affect the security of our customers’ accounts or funds,” Mr Manoj clarified.

“I thank our customers for chosing Airtel and wish to reassure you that the overall experience of Airtel Money services remains our top priority.”
